Breather Valves, also known as direct-acting vacuum/pressure relief valves, are specially designed valves for the protection of enclosed containers. There are various types of valves, including vacuum-only, pressure-only, and a combination of pressure and vacuum. They come with either flanged outlets or outlets vented to the atmosphere. Breather Valves are commonly used in bulk enclosed containers and tanks to minimise evaporation loss. They prevent excessive vacuum or pressure build-up within the container. The primary purpose of this valve is to protect the container against rupture or damage. The installation of these valves within the tanks prevents system unbalance and damage to the container. There are springs or weight pallets fitted in these pressure valves that control levels of vacuum and pressure. Most of the valves are made up of spring and pallet systems. The spring section is for pressure settings, and the pallet is for adjusting vacuum settings.
At Stream Peak, we offer a variety of Breather Valves for different tanks and purposes, all ensuring and protecting the tank against rupturing or imploding by releasing air pockets. Please end us an enquiry or call us to have more information about the available Breather Valve options.
