Description
During an equipment’s usual operating cycle, moving components such as belts, bearings, drive motors, gears will have its range of vibration. Concurrent vibration monitoring monitors an equipment’s low-frequency vibration levels and identifies when changes occur. It is a fundamental part of machine maintenance and failure prediction systems.
When there are fluctuations to its normal vibration range, it might denote the machine’s decline in operating function. An early observation of this change can help to pinpoint the need for preventative maintenance in a timely fashion; to prevent catastrophic equipment faults and failure.
OpsWatch is a WIFI enabled vibration and impact monitoring system. By continuously and consistently gathering vibration and impact data, OpsWatch has the ability to identify any abnormal changes outside of the normal range. It will then send alerts of these anomalies to the user through an online web-hosted platform via WiFi communication.
The recorded data resulted from the continuous monitoring will allow your engineering and maintenance team to initiate customized threshold for your equipment and establish triggers for predictive maintenance. The results are strengthened up-time, increased service life, reduced maintenance costs and lesser unforeseen failures.
There are 2 modes in the Opswatch: condition-based and transport monitoring mode.
The condition-based monitoring mode disseminates impacts and vibration data via wifi to server-based software. Alarms will be present when the vibration surpasses its normal range and will only be cleared after the user is aware of the alarm. Data that is recorded can be retrieved from a single or multiple OpsWatch units installed in a facility. Transport monitoring mode will transmit recorded data from journey automatically when connected to direct power. With the potential to record up to 870 events, the transport monitoring mode can put in place programmable wake-up values to maximize battery life.
OpsWatch EX is available to be engineered to collect date in intrinsically safe environments (Hazardous Zone 1). It has been tested to the following EMC Standards
- FCC Rules 47 CFR: Parts 15-B
- ICES-003 Issue 6 (2016-01)
- CISPR 24: Ed 2.0 (2015-04)
- CISPR 32: Ed 2.0 (2015-03)
Benefits of OpsWatch
- Detects vibration that competitors cannot
- Widest temperature scale for severe environments (- 40?C to 85?C)
- Computes the most intense vibrations (As precise as 1Hz)
- All-in-one design reduces the likelihood for RF interference by at least 10x
- Allows you to continues measuring when other units have stopped (Velocity range of 200 cm/s)
- All of the above at the lowest expenses
