Formulated to be used in compact containers or cases, Manual Relief Valves provide diverse ways to equalise pressure or vacuum differentials before opening the containers. The relief valves can be installed with no difficulty through a single hole in the wall of the case. They come complete with all attaching hardware. Some of the models are equipped with the safety wire protection feature to discourage the unauthorised opening of the valves. The advisable torque valve for installation is 30lbs/ins. There exists no visual indication of whether the manual valves are open or closed. Users should carefully consider selecting the valves due to the possible outcomes from consistent exposure to the outside ambient if left open; potential damage to the container if left closed.
The Manual Relief Valves are available in different models:
The Manual Relief Valve is an exhaust port that can act as an inlet connection on containers. It has a physical override button to unlock the port. The self-sealing valve enables air to flow into the contact without flowing out.
This breather valve, being black anodised, has a confined knurled twist knob for manual operation. It can be utilised in think wall containers and mounted through a 0.50 inch (13mm) diameter hole. This unit is completely immersion proof as it is IP67 rated and meets MS18014-1.
This “push-to-open” relief valve can be set up through a 0.51 inch (13 mm diameter hole). The pressure can be equalised due to the side venting design even when the button is depressed by users wearing arctic gloves. At vacuum pressures above 6.0 psid, this unit may open automatically.
This middle-sized “turn-to-open” manual relief valve is equipped with a recessed captive screw. This needs to be rotated at least once with a screwdriver to open the valve. Apart from their safety wire characteristics, these valves can be set up through a 0.51 inch (13mm) diameter hole.
