Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor Films

Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors (VCI) Films offer corrosion protection for metal products during storage and transit. Constructed from Polyethylene or Polypropylene, these films are coated with VCI compounds that vaporise, disperse and subsequently contact metal surfaces to deliver corrosion protection.

The application of these VCI Films involves wrapping them around metal parts or situating them near metal components. The films emit VCI into the surrounding environment, which forms a protective coating on metal surfaces. This coating acts as a barrier to prevent moisture and oxygen from contacting the metal and causing corrosion.

Our VCI films provide comprehensive protection to a wide range of metals, including ferrous metals like Steel and non-ferrous metals such as Aluminium, Brass and Copper. Available in various forms, including bags, sheets, or stretch wraps, these films can be conveniently wrapped around individual metal items or customised to create larger protective enclosures for bulk storage. For enhanced protection, the films can be heat-sealed or taped to create a secure seal for optimised corrosion protection.
