VCI Outdoor Liquid Solutions are a complete line of rust prevention liquids made to protect exposed metals and unpainted metal parts from corrosion during manufacture, use, storage, export, lay-up, and preservation. The Nox-Rust Liquids can be applied by brushing, fogging, or spraying them into hard-to-reach areas using conventional industrial application equipment.
The Nox-Rust 3100 can be handled after 3-6 hours and set up within 12-24 hours. When required, it can be removed using solvent-based thinners, vapour degreasing, or hot alkaline wash.
Designed for outdoor corrosion protection, the Nox-Rust 5100 is best suited for general metal preservation, indoor or outdoor. It can be used with or without barrier covers during transit or storage. To use the Nox-Rust 5100, apply it by dipping, spraying, or brushing. The coated metal can be handled after 3-6 hours and sets up in 12-24 hours. To remove the coating, use a solvent/alkaline cleaner.
The Nox-Rust 5200 provides exposed metals and unpainted metal parts protection from rusting and corrosion. When applied, the brown, grease-like film dries as a semi-firm coating within 12-24 hours, providing protection that lasts for 3-6 months on equipment stored outdoors and up to 5 years when kept indoors. The Nox-Rust 5200 is typically used for machinery, instruments, bearing, and steel parts. To remove the coating, use a solvent/alkaline cleaner or an emulsion cleaner. It is available in pails, drums, and aerosol cans.
The Nox-Rust 5300 displaces water and saline solutions to keep metal surfaces inside closed systems free from corrosion. Completely miscible with lubricating oils. Apply the fluid by dipping, spraying, or brushing. After application, the fluid dries as an oily film that can be handled after 3-6 hours.
