How is Zip Lock Bag Made?

The Zip Lock Bag is made of polyethene plastic that is melted and moulded into the desired shape and size. The zip-lock closure is formed in a separate moulding process using a more durable and thicker plastic which is then fixed on the lips of the bag. This moulding process of the zip lock creates a microscopic and arrowhead-like stem that connects and interlocks when pushed together. This forms a durable seal that prevents the entry of moisture and prevents leakage, most importantly, it ensures that food product remains fresh and at top quality.
